2014 to the beginning of our trip. After a camp by Indonesia Special Envoy For Climate Change (DNPI). As province representative for the camp, we were motivated to contribute more by pioneering the official regional chapter of Youth for Climate Change Indonesia ( https://yfccid.wordpress.com/ )
We discussed alot about key issues we want to address, how to initiate the programs, how to make it work while we are (just like YFCC Indonesia) independently must find our own financial stability funding the programs since we are non-profit and youth based. Armed with 6 visionary people, we challenged ourselves and decided to give it a hit. After long discussion, we agreed to focus on climate education as our pilot program. In addition due to alarming climate issues over the globe, environmental education initiative is still lacking in both formal and non-formal education institution. Climate Class programs report, press release, and documentation in detail is accessible through yfccsumut.weebly.com . Or you can have a sneak-peak by reading embed presentation below.
First step is always shaky, but the more we move the more our feet become stronger.
